A.A. once again every one!
After a long time, I have regained my ‘dil ka zore’. I’ve been through it before — many times. So, I’m pretty used to it by now. It’s always left me with a lot more knowledge than I would’ve gained without it.
Anyway, I think I have a job in City. I have an office at least. I have setup my FC6 and Isabelle (once again) and have started working on the Message formalization for security protocol verification.
Once again, I would like to invite all of you to start working to make this group better. I know we’re all very busy with what we do. But this group is a commitment and I’m sure you all appreciate that there aren’t many people in Peshawar who can work on research the way we are currently working. If we want to continue with our work (which is taking a pretty good shape, btw), we need to work together and not through some disconnected communication in email.
I’m especially expecting a lot from Mr. MM and Mr. T. You two are the leaders and being that you have to provide with the sacrifices. Iss dafa qurbani ka baqra aap loge khareedain gay aur group ki taraf se qurbani kerain gay.
As for my part. I’m just waiting for my internet connection and then I can start the voice chat with Mr. MM regarding Isabelle. Shaz has said more than once about Calculus but I’m not sure that was serious. Anyway, I’m ready for that too and Lisp is always easy — if someone needs it.
Now, I expect to see some comments here. Get writing!
First of all congratulations for having a job in City University.
Keep it up!
I will be with you people inshAllah, by the end of October.
Best,
MM Alam

Calculus is serious business and we need to allocate time for that. Amin can benefit from u now that he’s closer. I think the best time would be when we are over with our thesis. The reason is that we need discipline which is very dofficult to get in a society like ours and ppl like me. All the hussle and bussle and the frenzy is routine for us now. It would take time for us to adjust.
As I was saying, without discipline and dedication every serious matter is not done properly and adds to frustration. We need strong leadership, which is also a work of dedication. I hope when mr mma is back he’ll be upto it then. So calculus will have to wait.

We should not be expecting sacrifices from each other because we are all in a hurry to dominate the world. We will do our best to tell each other which topic to go for because we will benefit from each other. This way we keep comon interest. We should always take care that we keep comon interest in our directions.
In todays world there is no trust and it is impratical to trust. If we can benefit from each other then we can move ahead else we cannot afford to sacrifice because we need to secure our selves then buy beautiful cars and then build a big bungalow and then get the huge amount of respect and after that we can think about sacrifices but by then we might be dead or we might become like the other blood suckers. Don’t forget that one has to pay back for the sacrifices.

The only problem with our group is that we do not have comon interests (short term). We should sit and focus on how to bring the interests aligned. I am trying level best to get Amin on to remote attestation so we can benefit from each other. Other three in this group are working on much upper layers so I am not sure how this can be done. Regarding mr tat, he was suppose to work on ima and something trusted but not sure maybe he’s changed plans. Atleast if we can’t sit we can propose ideas of how to get together on a single line of action. IMA can fit for application layers and so can selinux. Now how can you guys utilize it need to be brainstormed. And yes we need to be consistent and not let anyother person deviate by their latest trends’ theory!

I believe everyone agrees here that we need to get a common point of interest in the group. “Security” is a big term. We can all be in security engineering and still be miles apart. I would start a discussion here regarding what point of interest we can agree upon but I’m afraid it will be ignored by a majority just like all other posts.
So, it is my personal opinion — and I may be wrong — that we should just wait for the time in the near future when we can all sit together and discuss these matters face-to-face without the hurdles and problems caused by trying to communicate through text.
Let it rest for a while guys. Go with the flow! Peace!

All these questions that are coming to your mind, are just because of communication gap. For example, how one would know that in this month, i had a major teeth operation, plus, i had to submit my PhD thesis, plus, i had to finalize my exams, plus, my uncle is severely ill and is in lahore, plus, ….
This is only my Plus(es), Now Shahbaz will have his own Plus(es), Nauman will have his own, and so on and so forth.

Agreed. See, we’re all saying the same things. My suggestion is to wait out this time until MMA gets back. In the words of Amin the great, “that would be the key turning point”.

Tell Amin to wait for key turning point and today there was a huge activity on IMA in selinux mailing list. I think we should work on a database project instead.
